More than ever before, our bodies are exposed to higher levels of chemicals, pollutants, bacteria, and a host of other elements that lead to poor health. So many people are living in a continuous state of “just don’t feel well” and “I just don’t have the energy”. The air we breathe, the foods we eat, and the company we keep all amount to your bottom line. As the season provides us with a natural energy boost with longer periods of sunlight and warmer weather to enjoy it directly, this is the ideal time to replenish what has been lacking, remove what has been toxic and rejuvenate what has been ignored. I know that the time is perfect for me! Here are some tips to get you started:

1. Start by reflecting on your overall well-being. How are you feeling on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level?
2. Based on your reflections, what would you like to change? What could be better, contribute to greater energy levels and lead to improved health?
3. Set some small goals related to these areas for improvement.
4. Establish the steps that you will need to take to achieve these goals?
5. Know what will work for and against you in your efforts? (and plan accordingly)
6. Give yourself credit for progress and encouragement for set backs.
7. Find a partner who shares similar goals and support each other.
8. Celebrate!

As you know, I’m not one to jump on the celebrity gossip trail but I am the first one to highlight lessons to be learned from those who are visible to many. Most people have some sort of reaction to the stories that reach the media - Tiger Woods is no exception.

Infidelity is rarely a complete surprise (particularly at the alleged numbers reported). Many wonder…Did she see the signs? Did she dismiss the cues that her inner wisdom was likely sending to her in the form of physical or emotional uneasiness? Did she believe that he would change through the love they shared?

Single men and women can use this unfortunate experience as a reminder to the importance of having a defined path for significant relationships. Despite the great qualities of any individual, if there are critical deal breakers that arise, you can choose to let go of the risk and stay on a path that will lead you where you envision your life to be-as opposed to someone selecting your destiny.

What About Intuition?

It is said that women in particular live in a more emotional dimension. We are powerfully tapped into our hunches. A woman’s intuition is her inner guidance. The skill of reading yourself, what feels right/wrong is key for all singles. Believe in them. When you feel a certain way stop and give thought to how you are feeling. I know that some singles find themselves confused by past experiences (vs current realities). You wonder if you are over-reacting based on what has happened before and it causes people to minimize the presenting issues. Get some feedback, check the core of your revelation and make a decision. Even if the decision is to step back and/or address the concern.

The overall message is for singles to enter relationships that are defined by your vision, values and best suited for your soul. There is so much more at stake when you deny yourself all that you deserve.

I wish the Woods family all the best as they take steps to resolve this tragedy in the way that they feel is best for them. I wish all singles the power to establish their chosen path with confidence and commitment to those things that enhance the journey to growth and splendor!

The word intuition is derived fromt the Latin root “in” such as “look at”. In other words, with respect to the intuitive process, by looking “in” singles can “look at” a situation or experience on a deeper level for an unevaluated perspective. When you draw upon the great guide of your intuition, you can discover new possibilities that are based upon the truth that lies internally. This voice/message can offer creative answers and reassuring touches that could otherwise be discounted by the conscious filters of the mind. While many go on to test or explore their intuition with rational thought, it is can be the valuable guide that alerts you to focus on a particular event or decision.

Learning to trust your intuition is probably the most important beginning steps to developing it further. Permit yourself to listen to the messages that arise from within.  Know that you are opening the doors to greater creativity and potential will validate your efforts to be still in the moment of asking.

Great leaders seek to create an environment for followers and mentors that promotes success.  Thus you being the strongest, energetic member in your network means positioning yourself for growth as you accept and pursue the challenge of evolving to your personal best.

Have you thought about how you are positively influencing and transforming not only yourself, but those with whom you work and interact? The belief is that your level of energy determines what influences those around you in addition to your overall success.  The more you have, the better you will do.  Your energy level also determines what you attract and what’s reflected back to you. Consider whether or not you are enthusiastic about life and your work? What would others say about your disposition and how they feel in your company? Can others flourish in your company or do they become stagnant and unresponsive? What can you do to change what you extend to the world around you? How can you be the BEST member of your dynamic network. A network that encourages your progress and nurtures the success of others as well.

“Should”, “If only…”, “Maybe sometime…” “When x, then y”. These are all examples of mental roadblocks discretely weakening the spirit and personal best of countless singles. While the word or phrase may vary, the result is often the same - inhibited growth.

What we think, ultimately guides our emotions and our decisions. The problem is that many people are unaware of the quiet messages that reinforce inner fears and self-doubt. Is it important to know the source? Where did they actually take their roots? I am a big believer in focusing on the solution rather than the problem although awareness and insight might be an important place to start.

Make a list of your “un” vocabulary. You know the words, the phrases, and the statements standing in the way of your solo potential.

Why is it that prioritizing tends to be such a difficult activity. It would seem to be very simple when you consider that it requires you to set important goals above less important goals. You prioritize goals that are “crucial” ahead of goals that are “beneficial” - right?

The question for many becomes what is the difference between the two terms. Quite often when singles are unsure about the most significant activity that is directly connected to the primary outcome, they become stuck and become far less productive. It can also result in frustration. You hear the question, “why am I working so hard and not achieving what I would like to?” asked in despair.  Leaders have become very good at prioritizing and decision-making. If they have not, then they found someone who was strong in this area. Leaders know that they have to establish a central driving purpose for what they do and they can categorize tasks based on where it fits.

If you are frozen by the decision-making process, change it. It is so easy to become a victim to uncertainty and overwhelm. Get back to your central driving purpose and get clear on your direction. You are a leader who knows where you are going!

Consider willpower as your inner self-discipline guide showing you the way to pursue activities directed towards your goal-your little “nudging tool” when your choices are many. It is common for singles on track for leadership to set long and short term goals only to be met by one challenge after another. The result can be that singles may find themselves too tired and frustrated to fight for what they really want and accept defeat over their obstacle.  The solution is when you heighten your commitment, establish progress checks and acknowledgments and learn to use your willpower, there’s no such thing as problems that take you off your chosen path ahead.

Experts say that willpower by description is a burst of power to push you when you experience obstruction. It is a feeling or energy source powerful enough to move mountains if you want to. When utilized the right way, it can get singles to wherever you want. Willpower can be likened to a concentrated, gathered force to make an effort that is otherwise difficult to do. Use your willpower to improve yourself as a person. Employ strategies to prolong the fuel of your willpower, such as planning your activities to correspond with what feeds your internal drive.

While willpower can offer a burst of gathered energy, singles can integrate its ongoing benefits until it becomes an unconscious pattern of living that works discretely until you reach your target. Single leaders will notice that willpower eventually develops a sustained momentum that helps to put the objective in sight. Seeing your efforts leading towards achievement will often support ongoing activity. Remember, along with willpower comes discipline and self-control.
